He made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia Nikola Poposki on Monday.
Larijani underlined that the countries can communicate with each other and expand their relations through the introduction of the culture of their country to other nations and countries.
He noted Iran and Macedonia enjoyed a good relationship in the past and now they need to resume a new generation of ties.
Larijani said tourism is a factor to develop relations between the two countries, insisting that Iran and Macedonia are two friendly countries which enjoy many tourist attractions through which travel agencies can further develop.
Pointing to the lack of security in the region and increased migration rate, Larijani said the conflict in Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and Yemen has caused many immigrants to flow to the European countries, and unfortunately many of them are living in poor conditions.
Poposki for his part, referred to the historical ties between Iranian and Macedonian nation and voiced Skopje’s willingness to expand bilateral ties with Tehran.
Noting that the threat of terrorism is very serious, Poposki said, the danger of terrorism was felt when the Paris and Brussels terrorist attacks happened.
Touching upon the issue of EU refugees crisis, he said human trafficking is a consequences of insecurity in the region and in some European countries.
Calling immigration increase a new crisis in Greece, Turkey and Macedonia, Poposki said, unfortunately, some of the terrorists used the opportunity of migrant crisis to enter European countries’ soil.
The diplomat expressed regret that several European citizens had joined ISIL and called for research on the phenomenon as pre-condition to confront it.
